The latest launched Tiago not only new flesh but it is also equipped with all the newly developed engines present under the hood. The petrol variants of the car are powered by a 1.2-litre Revotron unit of petrol from aluminum with 3-cylinder. The DOHC engine of the car produces power of approximately 83.8 bhp at 6000 rpm with the peak torque approximately 114 Nm. Thus, the diesel variant of the car is equipped with 1.05-litre 3-cylinder Revotron engine and which produces a power if 67 bhp with approximate torque of 140 Nm. Tata Tiago’s engines have arrived with City ad Eco drive mode. This is known to be the segment first feature which is absent in the arch-rivals.
The JTP Tigor edition of the car is powered by 1.2-litre Revotron turbo engine running on petrol and it presently does the duty on Tata Nexon. The pre-produced models of the car the engine have 3-cylinders that can produce power of 109 bhp with maximum torque of approximately 150 Nm. The Tigor JTP engine is also mated with manual gearbox transmission of 5-speed.
